Chandeliers in the Bathroom II

The question of whether chandeliers are a good option in the bathroom is over!  After posting on this very same topic (here) some time back, it seems that some were wondering the same thing……well, wonder no more, the verdict is out……They look fabulous in any style of decor….see for yourself.

This gorgeous home, which left me breathless when I first gazed upon it, was introduced by Erin at House of Turquoise.  The stunning home is one of her readers, Desiree Ashworth who has an inspiring blog full of French, Gustavian and Belgian decor, Decor de Provence. This lovely home is in Provo, Utah and the incredible photography from Ashlee Raubach.

The whole idea for this space was to create a sanctuary (success if you ask me).  The focal point of the bathroom is the fabulous soaking tub that overlooks a lovely walled garden. You can lie there in absolute privacy and enjoy the fabulous light and the beautiful plants….

A Persian carpet is an unusually luxurious choice for a bathroom, but stands up well to wear and tear.  An antique wrought-iron chandelier from Europe illuminates the tub area.

No matter what your design style is, working in a fabulous chandelier into the space that we begin and end our day in is definitely a possibility.

  4. and I'd think they'd stay nice and clean with the steam. Low maintenance. I always worry about chandeliers in kitchens...they just seem like grease catchers. Not worth the upkeep.

  7. I don't think there is anyplace a chandi doesn't look great. We just put reclaimed bead board on our bathroom ceiling and it is all weathered and distressed and I am on the hunt for the perfect one for our bathroom.

  8. Lots of proof that YES, a chandelier DOES look great in a bathroom!! And pretty much any room, if you ask me :-)

I especially like the bathroom from Material Girls -- simple and elegant design, beautiful floor & mouldings, and love the dark doors.

  10. Hey there,
Just looked up your blog because of a recommendation from a comment on one of my old posts--from Jessica Sandlin--and wow(!)--not sure how I missed it, it's fantastic, and your photos are so extensive and well-chosen! AND to top it all off, the mosaic floor with the circle design in the above photo is OURS!!! Yay!!! I get to see an installation of one of our patterns! Keep up the good work.
